Purpose
Documents in facilioo go beyond simple file uploads — they are permissioned entities embedded into the legal and physical context of your portfolio.
In facilioo, documents represent a structured metadata layer around uploaded/imported files — enabling contextual relevance, access control, and user-specific delivery.
Each document is associated with a File and can be linked to a Property, Entrance, Unit, Unit Contract, and/or Party. This allows the same underlying document to be logically attached to different parts of the building structure or legal relationships.
Access to a document is controlled to ensure the right stakeholders have visibility. Documents can be organized into Document Groups — nest-able containers (similar to folders) that help structure and define audience visibility (e.g., owners, tenants, board members).
